Brainboost Neurofeedback
Better brain.
Better life.
What makes Brainboost the BEST neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a technically supported, scientifically based form of brain training. The positive effects of neurofeedback have been proven for years in science and practice for a number of psychological conditions, such as depression and ADHD . Neurofeedback is also increasingly being used in competitive sports, music, and top management as a natural method for improving concentration and managing stress.
As Brainboost, we collect and analyze EEG data and design a personalized protocol that specifically addresses your unique symptoms. On-going analysis takes place over time, allowing us to track and report on client progress at every session. By employing this data-driven approach, we can make informed decisions to ensure our clients receive the most effective and enduring treatment results tailored to their needs.
We understand that each individual faces unique challenges in their daily lives. We treat every client with the utmost respect and are dedicated to providing high-quality training sessions and achieving lasting results. Our protocols and sessions are customized to meet each client's needs in real time. At Brainboost, one size never fits all.
How Does it work?
During neurofeedback training, electrodes are attached to the head via a comfortable cap positioned at fixed points. While brain activity is recorded, the client sits comfortably in a reclining chair and relaxes. The electrodes function solely to measure signals; they do not influence or stimulate the brain with electrical signals. The client does not experience any sensation from the EEG recording and may feel as though nothing is happening at all.
The EEG amplifier captures all relevant brain waves and transmits them to a computer. A specialized program then analyzes the brain waves, dividing them into frequency ranges. All critical data is measured in real-time, with only a 30-millisecond delay and at a rate of 50 times per second. From this data, analysis is performed and individualized treatments are suggested.
EEG technology originated in the 1930s. The devices utilized by Brainboost adhere to the highest technical standards ensuring optimal data quality.
Data analysis and feedback
The data analysis described above is presented to the client in a simplified manner as "feedback". There are various methods to provide feedback to the client, including virtual reality environments, films, music or sounds, games (which are often engaging for children to keep them motivated during training), among many other options.
The feedback is grounded in the principle of operant conditioning. This means that the feedback provided to the client serves as a reward when they successfully activate certain areas of the brain to generate the desired brain activity. For instance, a reward might manifest as a film being bright and clear, while a 'quasi-punishment' might result in the film appearing dark and difficult to see. These processes are similarly applied to music, which may either be loud and easily audible or soft and nearly inaudible or games in which a character may stop or go at high speeds.
Our brain is wired to seek rewards as often as possible. It continually attempts to recognize and understand the patterns present in the feedback in order to receive rewards more frequently. This process occurs entirely unconsciously, without any active involvement from the patient or the need for medication.
