Meet the Team at BrainBoost

Our goal has always been to continue learning as much as possible to provide the best service and advocacy for our students, clients, and their families. We have always felt there is more to learn. We have spent most of our adult lives studying, acquiring skills, and applying knowledge to eliminate barriers experienced by our students and clients.

Julie and Ben have been collaborating since the first day they met! They have been married since 2009 and have two children and many pets. They enjoy being together, traveling, and being outdoors.

Note: While our training in applied behavior analysis informs our practice, the services we provide through Brainboost Midwest are not behavior analytic and are not covered under our BCBA credential.

Julie Bucalos, PhD

Julie has served the special education community as a certified special education teacher, consultant, behavior specialist, and adjunct professor. Julie is committed to successful client outcomes and long-term growth toward personalized goals.

Julie is also a recent breast cancer survivor and supports and advocates cancer research and development. Her cancer recovery lead her to the discovery of neurofeedback. After personal success using Brainboost Neurofeedback, Julie and Ben began their quest to share the life changing benefits with people in their community.
